Is there anything you're good at doing that you hate doing? Okay, hate might be too strong a word... but is there anything that other people say you're really GOOD at that you don't like doing, or at least you stress out about doing everytime until you're actually doing it? And... is this something that you generally try to avoid doing or do you do it anyway? Why or why not? Thanks for your replies~!

I'm good at it but when I used to do it I was thinking 'fuck you' the entire time. Haha, yeah... I'm usually the "peacemaker" who is brought in to cool down a situation. If people only knew what was going on in my mind behind my friendly face!

and yes, it's definitely hate! I call my paying job "my second job" that way it doesn't get me down -- it's just the one that pays so I can do the other things that I really enjoy.

I have a client I do writing for...and all the stuff they need has to have that horribly gross "uplifting" copy (of the ilk you see in those inspirational posters hanging in the offices of human resources managers). Apparently, I'm good at it, because they call me a lot, but it makes me want to throw up.

I kick ass at baking, but I HATE it when people ask me to bake things for them, even if they pay me.

Everything I'm good at, I like doing. That's why I'm good at it. Whataver I don't like doing, I just don't, or do it badly. I'm in love with Jill. The woman of my dreams. With those round, soft boobs.

I'm a really good singer and i used to enjoy it. then my mom wanted me to be just like her and started signing up of for things and i spent my junior high years in Dimensions (the show choir) and now Top 20. and I hate it. hate is not even a strong enough word. That sucks...singing should be something you should enjoy. Not everyone can carry a tune.

My least favorite request, "Hey, can you 'wordsmith' this for me?" I'm very good at re-writes, but I hate doing them. Frankly, it's easier to just write it from scratch. (The results are usually better, too.)

Snap said: The other thing I'm supposedly really good at (because people tell me so) but I really don't enjoy doing is public entertainment. I try not to think about it until it happens otherwise I stress out about it and overthink it. The toughest part is not knowing how the audience will react -- it's different almost every time and can really mess with my confidence and the whole vibe of the performance... especially if the previous one didn't go well (there's that fear it'll happen again). When it's good, it's really good and I love it when I'm in that "moment" and when I can see the crowd getting off on it, but besides that, I probably wouldn't do it at all and often wonder if it's worth the stress leading up to that "high".
Being on a stage is my most favoritest thing in the whole, wide world. I'm doing two plays this fall (rehearsals starting just after Labor Day with the last performance just before Christmas) and I cannot wait. No one's ever so poor, they can't pick up their yard. Grandma Loy
