Have you ever experienced someone being mean or treating you unfairly for no reason other than they are jealous or envious of you?

I can't think of a time someone's been mean to me because of being jealous, though. I can't think of a reason anyone would be jealous of me.

I guess that is why I have been surprised in the past when I have found out why the person is acting that way towards me.

I am envious of your style and personality Carrie but I would never hold it against you or treat you bad because I was envious of you.

I would hope I never treat anyone badly and I honestly do my best not to the vast majority of the time. But as I said above, we all make mistakes. Jealousy and envy are strange and often very powerful emotions. It's learning to overcome that that is the key.

And if someone's treated you badly because of it, well, that sucks, but the poor reflection is on them, not you.

Me, I feel jealousy all the time. I get super jealous of guys I like spending time with other girls. I feel it, but I never act out on it. Jealousy is totally normal - it's what you do with it that matters.

Yeah, back in middle school and high school. I was kinda surprised back then 'cause I was kinda quiet and I kept to myself a lot. I didn't think that people paid attention to me

Only on a professional level...and I usually follow the snarky remarks with a big and pay them no mind....in the military, folks that you pass by on the way up the ranks tend to downplay your success...chalking it up to an unfair, gender/culturally/racially biased promotion system OR that you must know somebody that was on the selection board....

I just shake my head, chuckle, and move on....the oxygen I'd waste talking to them is better used keeping me alive....

I don't know, I just feel that my life is so mundane in comparison to others... if I were looking from the outside, in, I couldn't be jealous or envious of my personal condition in life. Like I said, not worth the effort...
