Have you seen the new Star Trek trailer yet? Now in Quicktime.
You woke up in the morning with a peculiar feeling
You looked up and saw egg dripping from the ceiling.

Yes, seems rather "Three cavemen see a stranger running towards them with a spear, one fights, one flees, one smiles and invites him over for fondue. The last guy didn't live long enough to procreate."

I saw the trailer before Quantum of Solace Saturday afternoon. At first I did not know what was going on until the "teen" uttered he was "James Tiberius Kirk."

I think it'll be good...but when I see Spock I just keep thinking Sylar. It may play like a good sci fi movie and just a so so Star Trek movie. Time will tell. Love God and I shall 4ever Love u

Maybe it will suck, but it excites me just to hear the 'red alert' sound again. "she kind of just crashes through life with moments of balance.

Mars23 said: I want to be excited for this but so many things make me worry. 1. J.J. Abrams. What has he actually done that was good for more than a 2 minute trailer? 2. It looks like "Star Trek 90210" 3. James Kirk is from Iowa, the highest elevation is 480 feet. You'll see what I mean in the trailer and the oh so ever acrobatic dive Young Kirk makes. 4. Footage not in the trailer has the Enterprise being built in a shipyard, on Earth, in Iowa no less. The last 2 bug me because Abrams seems to be screwing with logic and canon just for the sake of cheesy dramatic effect, not to further any story. Now for the good: .5 seconds of Simon Pegg. Totally unnecessary and gratuitous tits. That's the vibe I'm getting too. If these clowns ruin my beloved Star Trek I will not be amused. One Nation Under A Groove...Yes We Can!

http://www.apple.com/trai.../startrek/ The action sequences look great seeing them clearly, but it still looks like a soap opera reunion. I also fail to see the genius in casting the dude that looks like Spock on a TV show as Spock so everyone will simply see that character in a blue shirt. Seeing the trailer clearly now, the Enterprise in Iowa is in the trailer. [Edited 11/17/08 11:20am] I never saw Sylar as a Spock-like character. He's way too emotional. And judging by the latest Neilsen ratings, no one watches Heroes any more anyway. I have no problems with that casting. But I'm not a Trekkie so I don't care either way about this movie.
