Convention speeches

what did you think about last night's speeches?

imo, Pelosi's was a yawner - i couldn't stand listening to her, and apparently, neither did the audience.

Teddy Kennedy was inspirational; what an icon.

Michelle nailed it - just brilliant.

i wish Carter had addressed the crowd, too.

didn't see pelosi or kennedy, I will watch his later, it makes me sad though, he says he will be there in January, I hope so, I really do.

Michelle Obama was wonderful, I was one of those crying women in the audience, the way she spoke was tender, eloquent and right on point. What a great speaker she is. I had heard she was a great speaker but truly I had no idea. Funniest thing for me last night was watching old grizzled Chris Matthews gush over baby shasha obama, he kept talking about how wonderful she was, he forgot to mention that the senator when he came on announced he was in St Louis! falloff

Those girls love their daddy, it was very evident last night. I pray for his safety every day.

on a stupid, picky note - can somebody give Chris Matthews a haircut, or at least some hairspray?

Yeah we know how she really feels about Hillary, so now you hate on her for making nice?
It's more than Hillary has done or will do.

I didn't watch the clip but because you posted it, I really don't have to to guess what the content is.
But hopefully in four years you will be trying to persuade us why Obama should not be re-elected.

They won't let Jimmy Carter anywhere near the convention, even if he has a ticket, only because of his truthful book about Israel, where the democrats are trying to be hawks.
