A mental revamp of Purple Rain

Could Purple Rain have been better if Vanity really starred in the film, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were never fired and Sheila E performed Glamourous Life instead of Dez Dickerson's Modernaire (although this track is hot too!)? Just mental revamp the thought.

IMHO she wasnt a good actress in the movie "The Last Dragon" either(Vanity) so no to answer your first question. I dont think it would of made a difference with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis being fired(they didnt have lines all they did was play instruments). I liked it better with Dez and his band better then with Shiela, IMHO GL was getting played out the rear end in my area so I would of been tired of hearing it IMHO.

I can see myself 98 years old and chatting on the org with cane and walker in hand plus going to tribute concerts cause that guy name Prince will be long gone and will have to sit next to the speakers just to hear the dam music because my hearing aid died

If Vanity was in PR instead of Patty, then Purple Rain would probably be my favorite movie ever. drool

But I think Dez should have stayed in it, not replaced with Sheila. Jimmy and Terry? either way with them. Not much difference, like Toots said.

What I DO think should have been added was Jill singing Wednesday.

I Love the movie the way that it is...I really do...

I can see that if the movie was remade, adding Sheila to the movie anywhere...can only bring more fun to it...and I wonder if it was just because Sheila wasn't around or something...

That is a good question...Why isn't Sheila in "Purple Rain?"
