The scary side of Raspberry Beret video

I was with some friends yesterday and one of them didn't actually ever see Raspberry Beret video before (he's in his early 20s). So we both noticed how the people dancing stand completely still when Prince is singing the verses. Kind of scary because their hands are on their sides like they are not human or something.

i just figured it was because everyone was doing a synchronized dance along with the song.

did you know pat smear from the germs/nirvana/foo fighters is in that video? it's true, he is.

I'm amazed at what scares some people. Were you smoking weed or something?

Whoah! A couple things confuse me here. Pat has a girlfriend? I thought he was of the, how you say, catfart variety.

The cough is on the 12 inch version...not just in the vid.

I met Pat Smear a few years ago. I asked him what was it like being in the video. He said P was strange and wouldn't talk to anyone (including the band) during the shoot. When the cameras weren't rolling he would leave the set.

He said a lot of people thought he (Pat) was a girl in that video. Nice guy and the complete opposite of the "girly" image he portrays in the media.

I'll get out "The Hits," video tonight and refresh myself with the video's...all I remember was thinking the video was really cute.

I agree B. At that time after the "P.R." hype started to die down, all eyes were on him. Everyone's question back then was "Well what's he gonna do next?"
I think the "casual" and I hate to say "bandwagon" fans were waiting for "P.R Part 2".
